Changing your list price due to Temporary Freight (FAF) Increases
Given the current fuel situation and the impact we recognise this is having on our supplier partners, we are introducing a temporary option for suppliers to accelerate list price changes that relate to Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF) and equivalent fuel-related transport cost pressures in Grocery products.
This change only relates to fuel-related price changes (e.g. FAF charges) arising from the present situation in the Middle East. We ask that any price change related to other raw materials (e.g. packaging) is treated as a separate list price change, aligned to the standard regional processes.
The accelerated process is dependent on a supplier agreeing to the conditions outlined in each regions Agreement for Temporary Fuel-Related List Price Change to help expedite the process.
In reviewing the request, we will kindly ask for supporting evidence to validate change is genuine and related to fuel cost pressure, to allow us to make an informed decision. The proposed list price change amount will be considered against comparable products and other data around the cost of fuel.
Expected timeframes:
- Target implementation in 6 weeks where conditions are met and the required documentation is provided, as outlined in each regional process
- If a supplier chooses not to agree to the temporary nature or removal conditions, requests revert to the standard 12-week list price process
